I am the Associate Vice Provost for Transformative Teaching & Learning and Executive Director of the Center for Teaching & Learning.  I received my PhD in Biology from the University of Colorado-Boulder and completed a post-doc in Neuroscience and Physiological Science at UCLA. I spent 21 years as a faculty member in the Neuroscience Institute and Department of Biology at Georgia State University. While at GSU I served as the director for the CTL for 9 years. I’m very excited about the new pedagogical strategies involving AI and helping faculty adopt inclusive teaching practices that support all learners. Many of these practices also reduce student stress and increase cognitive bandwidth. I am also interested in learning analytics and all areas of the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL).
