TTL Innovation Incubator Grants
The third round of Transformative Teaching and Learning (TTL) Innovation Incubator grants is now open! These grants support faculty as they design or redesign a course incorporating experiential learning; the 2025 cycle focuses specifically on designing community-based learning courses. Community-based learning is an educational approach that integrates classroom instruction with meaningful community engagement. It promotes active engagement, collaboration, and practical application of knowledge, fostering a deeper understanding of academic concepts and cultivating civic responsibility among learners. Faculty selected for the grant will receive programmatic and financial support to plan, implement and evaluate a community-based learning course.

Come by for coffee and conversation about how you can transform your teaching through community-based learning, course-based undergraduate research experiences (CUREs), and education for sustainability. Leave with examples from other instructors, actionable ideas you can implement right away, and opportunities for support from CTL and OUE.
Spring 2025 Book Club
Join CTL this spring for a virtual book club focused on alternative grading and assessment! This semester, we're exploring Grading for Growth: A Guide to Alternative Grading Practices that Promote Authentic Learning and Student Engagement in Higher Education by David Clark and Robert Talbert. On March 28th, Robert Talbert will join the book club for a special in-person meeting.
