Ameya Sawadkar is a Learning and Technologies Specialist at the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL). Ameya has served in teaching and learning roles in higher education in the US and India for over five years, most of which involved consulting on integrating technology into the classroom. He also has industry experience working as a consumer and market researcher. He has an educational background spanning across diverse disciplines with a bachelor's degree in computer engineering from the University of Pune, a MBA in communication management from Symbiosis International University, and a Ph.D. in qualitative research and evaluation methodologies from the University of Georgia. Ameya's doctoral dissertation explored new faculty members' experiences transitioning into faculty roles and what prepared them for those roles. In his current position, Ameya applies his diverse educational and work experience to support faculty at Georgia Tech to identify, evaluate, and implement learning technologies appropriate to their pedagogical needs. Additionally, he supports CTL in data analysis and evaluation.
